Movement Initiator

Konstantinos Lafkas is the initiator of MicroGlobals. He has been active for over 25 years in high management and C-level positions, both in Greek and multinational companies (Selonda, Sunlight, Alfa Laval, MJ Maillis, EPA Attikis, Bitros, Shell).

He has significantly contributed to the strengthening of the presence of Greek products on a global scale through organic growth projects and acquisitions, with active participation in negotiations both in Greece and abroad, creating new opportunities for business development and a total value of agreements of more than 2 billion euros.

His main interest in the last decade is figuring how to use technology and entrepreneurship to transform the world for a better future.

He has lived in many European countries and has led business affairs in the Far East, Middle East and America. During his career he has traveled all over the world, with experience negotiating in many different environments and cultures.

Frequent keynote speaker at entrepreneurship conferences both in Greece and abroad, and with extensive experience in workshops and coaching.

Greek Startup Mentor

For the last 10 years, he has been focusing on coaching Greek startups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), participating in the dynamic development of organizations, at the same time supporting the Greek ecosystem through EkinisiLAB of BSE, egg (enter, grow, go) of Eurobank, Coralia and networks of Entrepreneurs Angelon.

He is a co-founder and partner of Uni.Fund with a capital of 30 million euros, with the aim of financing pre-seed and seed Greek companies in the technology sector and highlighting the potential of Greek Universities and Research Centers.

FIRST CERTIFIED

Scale Up Coach

He is the first certified Scale Up Expert in Greece and one of 200 worldwide, in addition to other certifications he holds (Effectuation, NLP, Gorilla Marketing). He is also the Exponential Organizations’ ExO Ambassador in Greece.

He holds a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in production economics from NTUA, an MBA from IMD, and an MSc in Decision Sciences from OPA.

In addition, he has been educated at leading institutions and universities such as Stanford (Entrepreneurship and Innovation), Babson (Entrepreneurship in Corporate Environments), IMD (Program for Executive Development), INSEAD (Young Managers Program) and Ashridge (Strategic Global Sales) and Marketing). He is a member of TEE, the Greek Engineers Association and various alumni associations.

A company either disrupts or is disrupted. Large, slow-moving organizations are no longer the dominant force in business. Instead, new companies are achieving growth rates never before thought possible.

What makes these companies, all of which have very different business models, stand out from the competition?

Exponential Organizations (ExOs) are growing at an above-average rate – up to ten times faster than comparable companies in the industry – but can cope with far fewer resources thanks to new forms of organization and the use of new, especially digital , technologies.

Salim Ismail, who first coined the term ExOs, has identified 11 characteristics that characterize the exemplary ExO: Massive Transformative Purpose (MTP), five intrinsic qualities, and five extrinsic qualities.
